I had a lot of fun at the Drop Zone, and watched some amazing jumps by skydivers. I managed to catch a few coming down and put together some wild footage! Maybe one day I will get some footage of them in the sky as they jump (hmmm) sounds interesting doesn't it? Well maybe not! that means that I would have to strap the camera on to my helmet and jump with these brave souls! I think I will leave that job to the ones who have a passion for jumping and will continue to see Thru The Lenz with my feet flat on the ground! Here is the footage from those 2 days.......

At the Farm

We had a great time going to a family farm for a book signing. It was nice to get away for the day with the family! The day turned out to be a little chilly and rainy but that didn't put a damper on the spirits that day. The day ended out with a good old fashioned barn dance! I took some photos that I thought I would share with you all.

I had a lot of fun working with this techno Band. I just managed to get 4 music videos up on youtube. It was great fun working up close with Stephanie & Colin. It was a great shoot and it was really great to see Lillian! Lillian make us an awesome lunch, an end to a perfect day....

Spring Baby Photo Shoot

I had the pleasure of doing a spring photo shoot with my lovely granddaughter of 8 weeks old. I was a lot of fun to be up in the studio...I'm not done editing the photos yet but I will post a couple.

It seems like forever since I last blogged! About 2 weeks ago I filmed some awesome Jam Bands. These young kids are doing an amazing job and really showed off their chops.

Seeing Dreams through a different Lenz!

Hi everyone,

It's been a breathtaking 16 days watching the Olympic Games! Hope you were able to catch some of the excitement. Congratulations go out to all our Canadian Athletes making us all proud. From our first Gold Medal won by Alexandre Bilodeau, and the heartwarming support given by Alexandre's brother Frédéric. And all the medals we have accumulated over the 16 days. There has been many touching moments for me that has made me shed a tear or two. I think the most emotional moment for me was the moment that a very strong woman named Joannie Rochette stepped on the ice and skated an absolutely " Gold Medal performance". The courage and strength that she had and love for her mother helped her get through her programs. Joannie has touched the hearts of all Canadians and has made us all very proud.....As I said before it's not the medal color Gold, Silver or Bronze you all have touched the hearts of all Canadians. This is one of many reasons why I am proud to be a Canadian!
I also think there should be medals given out to all the Camera & TV Crews who have done an outstanding
job bringing all these games to our living rooms all over Canada. Kudos go out to you all!
Looking forward to yet another Medal as we await the Hockey Game as team Canada takes on the USA.

Saturday Night was a blast!

Wow, is the word for Saturday night as Lisa & I headed to the Dome Banquet Hall in Oakville. If you have never been there it is an absolutely beautiful place and the food is fantastic!

I did some work for Joe Passion and Kathy Thompson. It was a Barry Manilow & Bette Midler Tribute Show. It was a fantastic night and I had a lot of fun shooting some footage.

Proud grandpa am I!

Well it's official! I have been a proud grandpa for the last 3 days....My daughter gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. 7lbs 13 ozs.....Tues Jan 26, 2010 at 5pm... I'm very proud of my daughter and I know she will make a fantastic mommy....Here is a little video I took, and also a photo to show you just how beautiful she is...

After 25 years!

My whole intent for using this blog was to post exciting upcoming projects that I'm currently working on. Well today I blog for a slightly different reason......My full time project meaning my job will cease to exsist in June 2010, 24 years with one company. It's tough economics all around but when you have the carpet pulled out from you it's a little hard to catch your breath. I have worked in a base board heating company sice I was 19 years old and now forced to find new employment. Now on the upside of all this they have given us 6 months notice, which is far more notice then a lot of companys. Also it is a ideal opportunity for me to pursue my part time job and make it a full time gig. That would be my photography & videography which I must admit makes me much more happier then starting my day at 5:00 am!

So here I throw out my "Are you or anyone else you know in need of a photography or videographer?" I cover anything from Studio Portraits and family shoots, Band Promotion photography/videography to weddings....So whatever your photo needs "I'm just a click away"! Happy 2010 everyone! Thank you everyone who came out to our New Years Eve House Concert with My Sweet Patootie. It was a huge success and a great time was had by all. This is the beginning of a brand new year. With saying this this will be a partically good year for me as I welcome the birth of my first granddaughter in Feb.
